Firstly, we need to understand very clearly that if you have not done Hajj or Umrah yet, you are not allowed to do it on behalf of someone else, you have to make it for yourself first.
Secondly, if you have performed Hajj already and if then you can are performing it on behalf of someone else then there are two opinions:
1. You get the reward, plus the person you made Hajj for gets reward.
2. Only those on whose behalf you are doing gets the ajr, whereas you get the reward of helping them fulfill this act.
