A great number of people like to hold a copy of the Qur’an when praying, especially in Taraweeh. Is this permissible?

In all voluntary prayers, you can hold the mus'haf whilst praying, as long as it does not distract you from your prayer. When the voluntary prayer is congregational, it is not encouraged to hold a mus'haf or electronic because it becomes distracting to those around you.
