There is a hadith of the Prophet (PBUH) that mentions that women are like a bent rib. Is there context to this hadith? What does this hadith actually mean?
From the perspective of a man, a woman thinks and acts differently than they do. This is also true vice versa. The spirit and goal of this hadith is that the Prophet ﷺ is telling men not to expect their wives to act or speak in a way they want them to because they have a different way of doing things than men. This is also true for women. Marriage will only flourish when both take that into account.
